About
I am an atheist, a rationalist, a skeptic, a materialist. I am a lover of the creativity of humanity, of art and story and science. I would call myself a freethinker, but calling myself that does not make me that. Rather, let me say this: this blog is in part a journal chronicling a journey to freethinking. It’s about loosing the bonds I have placed on my own mind, and that have been placed there by others.
I will contradict myself. I will change my mind. I will be happy and sad, joyful and angry. I will, dammit, be free.

skin hunger
Skin Hunger is the desire for human touch, for physical connection to other people. I struggle with this — with sexuality, with hugging, with the normal physical interactions of people. And I long for it. Metaphorically, it becomes an expression of my worldview — that I am a physical being, and that all connection is ultimately physical. It’s about finding my place in the Cosmos as it is.
And for chains of the mind in our culture, you can’t do much worse than the ones we impose in relation to our bodies.
